| Acts 17:27 A purpose in my life, by God’s design, is to search and grope for God. That God is not obvious to me, is confirmed by the scriptures. God wants me to be in a state of searching, fumbling about. In fact, Paul also writes (2Cor 12:9) that God answered him, “…power is made perfect in weakness”. Perhaps there is merit in having to live life in this handicapped way (impaired in our perception of God). There must be something about having to go on faith that is very important to the spirit. Maybe it’s like education to the mind or food to the body. The spirit needs those times of having no answer, of having to trust God, in order to develop and grow. Perhaps this is why our money and comfort, pride or cock sureness, or self-sufficiency, is so perilous. If we have life under control, the spirit just doesn’t grow like it should, or could. Uncertainty is a tough state to be in, but it is where we can find real growth. Believe, Pray, Serve, Love, Live, Die,like Jesus. Bruce Abbott |
